Hi, we are having a Food Systems meeting Wednesday December 11 at 2 pm @ EPCF room. I hope that you can all attend, since it will be the first large scale meeting for working on Food Systems in the region with key stakeholders (city, EPCF, A&M Horticulture, Eco-El Paso, La Semilla, Ardovinon's DC, etc -but we need farmers!!!-.) I would like to have the folks of EP Permaculture join us there as well (and here!), so spread the word to interested parties. So far, it is shaping up positively in that we have a systemic approach to the problem of access of local organic foods and we are planning to have 2 events per year to create a robust action network.
Check this out about the urgency of this project:
Nate, love CURE. Tuesday's meeting was well attended on the psi's side and we were able to move forward. Thanks for the spreadsheet. Can it be edited by others?

Welcome to the Food & Kitchen Systems Science project. Please see the preliminary description, title of the project, and Creative Commons pictures. Our first task is to edit them if necessary. On Tuesday we are meeting at the EPCF with representatives from the city, La Semilla, Ardovino's Desert Crossing, Eco-El Paso, Texas A&M horticulture program, among others to plan a systematic approach to creating a sustainable food systems program in our region. Our contribution will be to provide scientific and educational support as well as reaching out to those we know have been working on this for years.
